Association for Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Disorders

AMEND runs a programme of awards including the Young Investigator Awards which aim to promote research into MEN and associated conditions, and the Julia Dunn Fund Award for endocrine nurses which aims to promote better understanding of and improve care for the MEN patient. Details of AMEND's Research Fund Award can be found here.

AMEND Young Investigator Award (UK)

This award is run by AMEND in association with the Society for Endocrinology

The first author of the highest scoring abstract in the ‘Endocrine Tumours and Neoplasia’ category at the societies' annual meeting will receive a £200 honorarium and certificate. Criteria for eligibility are as follows:

  • Any doctor or healthcare professional in training
  • Must be a UK citizen or the research must have primarily taken place in the UK
  • Abstracts must be on the subject of endocrine tumours and neoplasia

The winning authors may be asked to present their work at the AMEND Patient Information Day in May. Travel expenses will be reimbursed by AMEND in accordance with the AMEND expenses policy.

Julia Dunn Endocrine Nurse Fund (UK)

Thanks to the Houghton Dunn Charitiable Trust, AMEND is able to offer funding for 3 endocrine nurses to attend the UK Society for Endocrinology's annual Endocrine Nurse Update meeting (excluding travel expenses)
